Sad but true I live in Saratoga shelter and the corruption of the employees is rampant. However it is better than nothing. Daycare for kids is good. Thieves everywhere. Police and ambulance here constantly. No kitchen in rooms. It's this or the streets. No section 8 or work advantage here. Take your pick. Advice to anyone reading...go somewhere else...new jersey...Connecticut anyone? They have much better environment for you and your kids and housing sec 8 ect. A lot of people get stuck here for years with no way out. If I ever hit the lottery I would help these people maybe buy the building and turn it into condos for them. Wishful thinking but I'll play the lottery...

path is stile horrible. the food (oh my god) when i feed that stuff to my five kids .all of them had to go to the hospital,we all had a stomach virus and it's sad to know that your last option my not be your best option. and looking into my kids face for three days doing overnight after overnight just drove me crazy. i didnt know people care so little for humanity. the (workers) the passage above stated that they are over whelmed...but my opinnion on the situation is if the workers learn some respeact there day whould go alittle better.
"TO THE WORKERS AT PATH"
TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR LIFE AND RELIZE THAT YOU CAN BE IN THIS POSITION.IT DON'T TAKE MUCH TO GET HERE, SO TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED. GOD IS WATCHIN AND IF YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SOMEONE BECAUSE YOU NO THEYY HAVE NO WHERE ELES TO GO. ITS GOING TO COME BACK TO YOU.

(TO THE OFFICER) GOOD JOB I FELT SAFE AT PATH BECAUSE THE OFFICERS DID THERE JOBS AT CHECK IN. AND WHEN ANY DRAMA HAPPENED THEY WAS QUICK TO RESPOND...THANK YOU....

Path is horrible. Its an all day process!! I was placed n a 10 day and the 11th day was found ineligible! Was told I did not provide enough documents of whereabouts from 2008. The worker who was working on my case spoke 2 every lanlord from 2008 up 2010. I was shocked 2 hear I was ineligible, bcuz I could not provide month to month mail. I could not put my children thru that process again. Don't know who has what sitting in them trailers for more than 10 hours at a time. Im still homeless and trying my best 2 find shelter for my children. :(

The DHS continues t be a disgrace. Clients are STILL being made to sleep in hard chairs in unventilated, crowded rooms. Many of the clients there are mentally disturbed or alcoholics or drug addicts and if you don't fit into one of those categories, you are going to be miserable there.

Many of the clients there are sickly -- and cough constantly, without covering their mouths. The bathrooms are disgusting, poorly maintained, AND have no toilet paper in them! Nice touch, eh?

And this is what Mayor Bloomberg wants clients to PAY for!

This City should be ashamed of itself! Animals are treated and housed better.

Shame on you Mayor Bloomberg!

What is scarey is that it has taken up to now for someone expose the makeup of this organization and it's conflict of interest. Will any news publication or other media source run with this expose~? Certainly not Bloomberg Media.
